A Brief Intro to NFL 23

The National Football League (NFL) is the inspiration for the American football computer game Madden NFL 23, which was created by EA Tiburon and released by Electronic Arts.

It was made available on August 19, 2022, across all platforms for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

It is a part of the venerable Madden NFL series. The series made its premiere on the Epic Games Store as well.

The game’s cover hero is John Madden, a former head coach and commentator who passed away in December 2021 and after whom the game was named.

Similar to other recent releases, the game garnered negative and positive reviews from reviewers.

Building on the success of Madden 22, Madden NFL 23 adds new aesthetics to the Face of the Franchise and Franchise Mode, while maintaining the momentum of The Yard and MUT.

Even if there are still a few glitches, Madden NFL 23 is still a worthwhile purchase, especially for those who haven’t played a game from the franchise in a while.

To be sure, Madden still has a ways to go before it catches up to other sports sims, the bulk of which are more polished, less buggy, and have a more distinct personality.

But after playing Madden NFL 23, many players finally have a glimmer of hope that it’s headed in the right direction — maybe it takes the definite forward movement for a franchise that sorely needs it.

Objective Impressions of NFL 23

Overall, Madden this year is similar to Madden from the previous ten years in that it suffers from a number of self-inflicted wounds and brings back aspects that were disliked in previous years.

But it’s important to stress that Madden is truly feeling fantastic on the field for the first time in a long time.

The MUT Field Pass system is promising but buggy at launch, the tweaks to the Franchise are beneficial but not revolutionary, and the other modes are mostly forgotten.

If not for the game’s spectacular on-field jump, this would all give a rather unimpressive picture of the action. Although Madden 23 has several irregular issues, a Madden game wouldn’t be complete without bugs and other strange occurrences.

There were a few instances throughout the play where the team would celebrate a fumble rather than seize it. I don’t believe it is on purpose, even though there has been this previously in live-action NFL Football and other things.

Even with a CB that occasionally teleports, none of these bugs have so far significantly hampered the gameplay experience. But you should be aware of it, so you know what to expect.

By offering the finest Madden in a long time, Madden 23 does a fantastic job of paying tribute to the late, great John Madden. Are there still areas for development?

With new animations for multiple areas of the game, solid additions to Franchise Mode, and more realistic throwing animations as well as an interesting new story for Face of the Franchise.

NFL 23 is undoubtedly an improvement over earlier games in the most important part of the series: the football itself. Of course, there are a lot of methods to spice up a Franchise.

More tales to share via Face of the Franchise (perhaps one of a player who played in the CFL or XFL before getting a shot in the NFL)? More locations and yard regulations.

There are several strategies to enhance MUT competitive play. However, for the most part, you can see that EA Sports has been paying attention to its audience and is providing more opportunities to play and become more engaged in football.

The release date for Madden NFL 23 is August 19, 2022.
